Took a motorcycle ride to the Daniel Boone Homestead. It's a beautiful park. Did the tour which was conducted by people in period clothes. There was a sheep shearing demonstration and they were spinning thread, too. Very interesting.
Had a great trip to Lancaster, Pa., recently. Stopped in at our favorite dairy, Lapp Valley Farms. Make sure you check it out if you're ever in the area. Yummy ice cream, beautiful surroundings. There's even a drive-through that the horse-and-buggies frequent. It's hilarious!
Attended the first Lehigh Valley Tweet Up at the Allentown Brew Works tonight. Lots of twitter nerds there, including me and Kathryn! Great networking and interesting discussions. Can't wait for the next one. Really liked the venue. Check out http://www.thebrewworks.com/allentown-brewworks/
Took Mia for a puppy cut. She's nearly bald but still beautiful. Lori at Classic Pet Grooming does a great job with her, and Mia isn't afraid to go. If you want to take your dog there, here's a link to the business listing http://tinyurl.com/dganbw
Getting ready to make my Spring visit to Bucks Country Gardens in Doylestown, Pa. It's a beautiful place. Check it out on the web at http://www.buckscountrygardens.com/ I've already started growing flowers from seeds on my windowsill. This is my first attempt at starting from seed, and I'm pleased with my luck so far!
We'd like for Mia to be a therapy dog for seniors and kids. She's got a head start with her Baba Julie shown here at the farm. Formal training for the canine good citizens certification will start soon. Right now, Mia is learning socialization at doggie daycare http://rfurryfriends.com/
There's nothing like a walk in the park on a fine Spring evening. Here's Bill and Mia (left) and Dave and Kendall. Mia and Kendall are walking buddies every Friday night! Kendall just had her 7th birthday. Mia is 15 months old.
Here's the gang out for a bike ride last weekend. It was fun to take the dog along in her new bicycle trailer. It was her first bike ride ever, and we were thrilled to have her along with us. It's a great workout because the trailer and dog is 35 lbs. of dead weight! But when you get to where you're going, the trailer converts into a stroller so the pup can go wherever you go! Clever.
